There's a new flamenco singer making his way through the USA: Antonio Pitingo. Checkout this video clip with guitarist Gerardo Nunez. He'll be in New York (with a different guitarist) November 13th and 16th. Road trip anyone?

The new Jaleo Restaurant in Crystal City is now open. They have Sevillanas shows on Sunday evenings. Located at 2250-A Crystal Dr in Arlington (two blocks from Crystal City metro). Call 703-413-8181.

Felicia German is giving a workshop at Experimental Movement Concepts (Baltimore). The workshop is Monday through Friday, October 25-29 at 8pm. There may be a small group class at 9pm for intermediate/advanced dancers. Call Stacie Lanier at 410-366-2626 for more information and to sign up.

Several DC flamencos were mentioned in a review of the Alexandria Symphony in today's Washington Post. Percussionist Behzad Habibzai was called at the last-minute to perform with Anna and Edwin but was not mentioned in the review.
