Carmela Greco workshop June 9, 2004

With my Wednesday nights free now, I decided to drop by DC Dance Collective for the ongoing Carmela Greco workshop and play for the class. The advanced level is working on a choreography for Guajiras. The beginner level students are working on a martinete--accompanied on cajon by Behzad Habibzai.

4-H Fundraiser in Arlington June 6, 2004

Immediately after the DC Feria, dancer Ginette and I had a 4-H fundraiser performance to give in Arlington. Of course we didn't get paid money, but performing at fundraisers like these give us the opportunity to generate future business.

DC Feria de Sevilla June 6, 2004

These are pics from the performance on the main stage by Natalia Monteleon's Arte Flamenco. My thanks to Ginette and her mom for taking pics.

I spent the majority of my time catching up with old friends and making new ones;, so I didn't get to take many pics while I wandered around the Feria. I'll have more pics up in a few days. Thanks for your patience!

It was a beautiful night and just for the fun of it, dancer Ginette and I performed for a few hours for passersby. We made a little money too, which doesn't hurt. :)

The following photos were not from the performance itself. The stranger that volunteered to take pics directed us to do some poses. The full moon made for a nice romantic backdrop but the poses themselves were kind of artificial.
