Yesterday I spent the afternoon practicing with students of Anna Menendez at the Pink Flamenco studio. I wanted to take some pics, but I forgot my camera. I believe it's very important to practice outside of class. Even if you never perform on stage, it's still good exercise for the body, mind and soul, plus it's fun to practice with friends. I just wanted to commend them on their efforts to improve themselves. Congrats ladies! Read this article from a few years ago.
I was busy hanging out with my friends at Sala Rociera party so I didn't take many pics. So here's the deal: I'm not publishing any of my Sala Rociera pics until I get some photos from other people. I saw other cameras there that night! Send your photos to
I can digitize regular photos if that's all you have. (Do not send photos to my Yahoo! email, please.)
"some of you DC [people] have established a national reputation of being over full of themselves"
Uh-oh, I hope I'm not one of those people. The quote is by an apparently knowledgable guitarist who doesn't have the guts use his real name. Instead he calls himself: Im From DC and I know Everything at the Flamenco-Teacher.com website. It's OK to be wrong sometimes, or to be "over full" of yourself, but at least, people should have the courage to stand behind what they say by using their real name.
