Thanks to Hurricane Isabel, the power in my neighborhood went out last Thursday and didn't come back on until today.

Unfortunately, the Spanish Dance Theatre's 20th anniversary concerts as well as Carmen de Vicente's Spanish Sizzle concert this past weekend were cancelled due to problems from Hurricane Isabel.

Dancer Kyoko, who recently moved to Miami, will be performing with the Ft Lauderdale-based company Bailes Ferrer Sept 27-28, Oct 4-5. Congrats Kyoko!

The 2003 Latin Grammy winner for Best Flamenco Album is Pepe de Lucia's El Corazón de mi Gente. Last week, Pepe said, "Flamenco is going to win." Read more at the Flamenco World website.
