An evening at Casa Patas (in Spain) by Omid February 4, 2005
Hi Miguelito:
This is Omid, from San Diego. I hope you are in good health. About three
days ago, I came back from Spain. As usual, I have pictures to share
with you. In Sevilla, I went to Bernal guitar shop, which is run by
Valerino's Nephew Antonio Bernal. And, of course, we talked about you.
(He asked me to give you his regards.) I really did not want to buy
any flamenco guitar, but I seduced myself to buy my first Bernal flamenco
guitar, Model 1a, which is a new model that has not been introduced
to the market yet. It sounds fantastic and feels very comfortable. I
have some pictures of Antonio included in this email. In one of the
pictures, he is putting the finishing touches on the guitar I bought.
Other attached pictures are about a horse show from Jerez in Madrid
at Plaza Mayor. It was very interesting to see the dancer dance flamenco
with the horse. I will send you more pics later. Feel free to publish
any of the pics in your website. Have a good night. Viva DCFlamenco!
Sincerely,
Omid
Dear Miguelito:
These are pictures I took of a flamenco show at "Casa Patas" in Madrid. What brought alot of Madridians to the show was the 10-year-old female dancer. She was great. What was crazy about that night was that the show started at 12:00 AM, ended at 2:00 AM, I stayed at the tablao drinking in excess, by 5:00 AM I left the tablao and went to the airport to catch my flight back to San Diego. Have a good night.
Sincerely,
Omid
My thanks as always to Omid for sending me such beautiful pics. They
make me want to go to Spain right now! Above photos copyright 2005 by
