SPECIAL: Cádiz / Córdoba / Jerez / Madrid Photo Gallery by Omid MalekiDear Miguelito: I took this picture in Cádiz. It is said that the singer La Perla de Cádiz had lived in this street. On route from Sevilla to Córdoba, trying my new Bernal in train. My wife Selina inside the great Mosque of Córdoba known as "La Mezquita." It was built back when the Arabs ruled in Andalucía. This is still a holy site to Moslems. I experienced the locals holding a mass in this Mosque, followed by a sacred Siguiriyas sang to the accompaniment of flamenco guitar. Can you imagine the sound of a Siguiriyas in this mosque? It is simply sublime. I was tempted to take pictures, but out of respect I did not. One of the gates to the Mosque. This is the Reyes guitar shop in Córdoba. This is the Rodriguez guitar shop in Córdoba. This is the famous "La Pena de Bulerķas" owned and operated by family of Parilla de Jerez. This is outside the Ramirez guitar shop in Madrid. This is the inside. This is Mr. Felipe of Conde Hermanos guitar shop in Madrid. The guitar is his Limited Edition Esteso, the same model used by Niño Ricardo. (Price = about $14,000.00 US Dollars) In comparison to the flamenco guitars built today, everything (size, sound, and feel) was different about this guitar. This is me trying the unreachable $14,000 dream. This is at El Flamenco Vive in Madrid. The gentleman to my right (David) and the lady to my left (I can't remember her name) are the beautiful people who process our orders from the United States. Maria De Mar Moreno doing a Bulerias at the horse show in Madrid. My thanks as always to Omid for sending me such beautiful pics. They make me want to go to Spain right now!
