Area 405 September 25, 2004

Area 405 is an art gallery in Baltimore, MD. This is the second time DC flamencos Anna Menendez, Edwin Aparicio and Richard Marlow performed here. They were invited back due to popular demand.

Interestingly, I wasn't planning on attending this concert. But I was at Paco de Malaga's guitar gallery earlier that day and I was talking to him about the Area 405 concert. One of the guitar students overheard our conversation and inquired about more details. We exchanged introductions and 15 minutes later we were on the road to Baltimore! My thanks to my new friend Eric who was kind enough to drive me up to attend this concert.

Cafe Citron September 20, 2004

It's been another busy week so I've got a serious backlog of photos...again :) I just happend to find a spare hour today to edit and publish a few pics.

A few months ago, someone emailed me commenting that I tend to ignore people in my audience after the shows--not the impression I want to make. I intend to change that: now I make a point of saying hello to at least a few people in the audience after the shows--hence, you'll find more photos of audience members than performance photos. Taking pics of people with my digital camera seems to be a great icebreaker.

This is one small way of showing my appreciation for the people in the audience. Without them, all us local performers would be out of a job. Thanks to all who come and support their local flamencos!
