Arte Flamenco Spring concert - Page 5 of 5

Saturday April 13, 2002
Post concert party at Natalia's in Laurel, MD USA

11:51pm Erika Olander, a student of Natalia Monteleon, discusses with Aref her blossoming enthusiasm for flamenco and the DC community, as well as her enjoyment of the evening's performance. Aref elaborates:

"The Arte Flamenco show was truly motivational, inspiring and well done.

The dancers and the choreography has taken a leap forward. All the flamenco expressions (facial gestures) was clearly visible in each and every one of the performers.

Some of the influences of some great flamenco performers was clearly identifiable indicating a great deal of studying done on the part of the choreographers to bring about the essence of different styles and accents.

I think we are just on the tip of iceberg in terms of the great work and performers that will be coming out of the DC Flamenco community."

12:16am Edwin and Sara taking a well-deserved moment to relax amongst friends.

12:17amAnna Menendez with one of her top students, Kyoko Terada de Tomé

12:26am An inevitable part of every flamenco party, the guitarists start to play.

12:41am Marta, Jason and Soheila start an intimate session of palmas.
