Arte Flamenco Spring concert - Page 1 of 5

(Thursday April 25, 2002) It's
been almost two weeks since the concert, I know. The truth is that I didn't
take very many pictures. Some of the backstage photos the performers wouldn't
let me publish for various reasons---mostly because they have makeup on
or (in their opinion) just didn't look their best.
It was a long day. Most of the performers arrived late in the morning for a tech rehearsal, sound check, lights etc and a last-minute run-through of numbers needing some last-minute touches.
This year there were quite a few videographers (I counted five!) including
yours truly. Being the technology freak that I am, I couldn't help but
to play with the features on the digital camcorder as I captured the
evening's performance on video.
So, if you are one of the lucky ones (or unlucky ones depending on
your viewpoint) to see my video, please forgive me if it's a little
jerky (I had no tripod) and if I'm constantly zooming in and out an
panning left and right--it was my first time with a video camera.
So what does this all mean for you? You get a few backstage photos and no photos of the performance. If you missed the show, too bad. You'll have to do what the cheapskates (like me) do: wait until it comes out on video. :)
