CLASS DESCRIPTION & RATES (in US Dollars)

Technique (Bulerías)
Class length: 1 hour 15 minutes. Footwork, upper body, stamina building and short patadas (compositions). At least one year of flamenco experience is required. All seven technique classes for $150 OR $25 per class drop-in.

Choreography (Soleá)
Class length: 1 hour 45 minutes. Full-length choreography to live guitar accompaniment and cante (singing) by Marija Temo. All seven choreography classes for $180 OR $30 per class drop-in.

Both
All 14 technique and choreography classes for $300 OR $45 drop-in.

Payment must be received in full prior to class.

No refunds will be granted after payment is received unless the registered party's medical condition prohibits his/her participation in a dance class (a note from a physician is required).

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Described by critics as "the most amazing dancer seen in years" having "hellfire footwork" and choreographies with "beautiful, evocative imagery", Mr. Aparicio is one of the most sought-after flamenco performers, teachers and choreographers in the US.

In 2001, Mr. Aparicio made his international flamenco debut at the legendary Casa Patas in Madrid. He performed with The Washington National Opera at The Kennedy Center, under the direction of Plácido Domingo in El Gato Montés in 1997, and Don Giovanni in 2003.

Mr. Aparicio has performed as a soloist throughout the U.S. with companies such as the late "José Greco Spanish Dance Company" and Reynaldo Rincón s "Romería Flamenca" . Throughout his artistic life, Mr. Aparicio has shared the stage with such acclaimed artists as Chuscales, Silverio Heredia, Roberto Castellón, Pedro Cortés, "La Truco", Elena Andújar, Carmela Greco, Pastora Galván and José Luis Rodríguez.

During the Annual Chicago Flamenco Festivals, Mr. Aparicio was featured as an artist in 2002 and as a guest speaker and instructor in 2005. Until 2004, he served as the Assistant Artistic Director of the Arte Flamenco Dance Company, where he was a choreographer, teacher, and performer.

For the past four years, Mr. Aparicio has been giving master classes throughout the U.S., including at the Flamenco In The Sun annual festival in Miami in 2004 and 2005, alongside internationally acclaimed masters Belén Maya and Pastora Galván. In the 2005 Festival, "Bailes Ferrer Dance Company" featured Mr. Aparicio s choreography together with the choreographies by Belén Maya and Andrés Marín in the Espejos Del Alma in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale FL. Both 2004 and 2005 Festivals featured Mr. Aparicio as a guest performer together with nationally acclaimed Pedro Cortés (2004) and world renowned Pastora Galván and José Luis Rodríguez (2005).

Mr. Aparicio is the artistic director and choreographer of Camino / al flamenco, Encuentros, of the collaboration Bailes Inéditos, and of a nationally acclaimed production Intimo (in collaboration with Carmela Greco), with presentations throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area, Philadelphia PA, Chicago IL, and Portland, OR. Most recently, he performed with Jóvenes Flamenco as a soloist and a company member at the Centro Cultural de San Blas in Madrid, Spain.
