It's 12:55pm on Wednesday as I type these words. While I do have a few errands to run, it's really my day off. But first I thought I'd publish some pics from last night at Las Tapas.
The dancers were Claudia Easton and Kyoko. My singer friend Hector Márquez joined us onstage. And Jason Vera y Aragón was our photographer for the evening. Enjoy!

As usual, I never know who the dancers will be until I arrive at the venue. But you know me: I love the challenge of accompanying a dancer with little or no rehearsal. And as it turned out, the dancers were Claudia and Kyoko. I perform often with Claudia, but it had been a while since I last shared the stage with Kyoko--I think the last time was back in April.

Kyoko informs me that she has moved back to the DC area, yay! (If you recall from my interview with Kyoko, she moved to Miami in 2003.)

I hope you enjoyed these pics as much as I did--thanks again to Jason for being our volunteer photographer for the evening. Now it's time for me to get out and enjoy the day--thinking of checking out the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. Just for fun, here are some blog entries from around this time back in 2005.
