Sevillanas Show at Jaleo in Crystal City, VA

Tapas bar. This is one of three branches in the Jaleo "chain" and probably the most beautifully designed. The dancers perform Sevillanas twice a night accompanied by recorded music. No stage--they dance around the tables and bar areas.

Jaleo Crystal City (opened Sept 2004) is located at 2250-A Crystal Dr in Arlington (two blocks from Crystal City metro). No age limit. Call 703-413-8181.

Duende Camaron at Chi-Cha Lounge around 9:00pm

Bar with a limited menu (latin-american food). The atmosphere here is very laid back. Lots of comfy chairs and sofas, dim lighting. Duende Camarón performs originals and covers of rumba (Gipsy Kings and more).

Flamenco show at Cafe Citrón

Bar with extensive menu (primarily Caribbean/latin-american food). Show features dancer Sara Jerez with singer Gerárd Moreno and guitarist Michael Perez. This venue is very narrow. There are only a few spots that have a full view of the show. Otherwise you'll have to stand by the bar with the rest of the crowd. Call ahead and reserve the table by the stage. Between shows and afterwards, DJ plays international music and it's usually very loud. Great for dancing--not so good for conversation. Promoted at www.clubZone.com.

This the second restaurant in the Jaleo "chain." Jaleo Bethesda is located at 7271 Woodmont Ave just down the block from the popular Bethesda Row Cinema. Shows at approximately 8pm and 9pm. Parking garages short walk away. No age limit. Call (301)913-0003.

Flamenco show at Luna del Sea Bistro

Restaurant featuring seafood. Stage is visible from the dining area and bar. Guitarist Richard Marlow accompanies dancers Tamara Sol Flys and Sara Jerez.

Spanish restaurant with bar. Stage is raised high enough that the show is visible from just about any table in the dining room. If you're seated at the bar, the view is partially blocked. Guitarist Michael Pérez accompanies dancers Anna Menendez and Edwin Aparicio.

Spanish restaurant with bar. The stage is slightly raised and is visible from all tables in the dining room. If you're at the bar, you can still see the show but the sound is slightly muffled by the glass divider. Sevillanas show at the Jaleo tapas bar

This is the original restaurant in the Jaleo chain (opened in April 1993). Jaleo DC is located at 480 7th St NW Washington DC. Dancers perform sevillanas about once each hour to recorded music. Featured dancers vary from week to week.

In a strip mall between a Food Lion and a gas station, El Pike, is a bar and latin-american restaurant. The music gets very loud. Great for dancing--not so good for conversation. This show starts at midnight or later. Duende Camarón performs originals and covers of rumba.
