Furia Flamenca at the Forum of Sidney Harman Hall. June 2011
June 29, 2011
It's 11:30am on Friday as I type these words—my third blog entry today, I'm on a roll! Just getting my blog duties out of the way so I can take care of a few errands and stop by the Folklife Festival at the Smithsonian for a while this afternoon. Nothing at all flamenco-related but for someone like me interested in cultures from around the world, there's lots to see and do!
I've published pics of Furia Flamenca at Harman Hall previously, so no need to introduce them. My regular blog readers know who they are. Well, they performed yet again this past Wednesday closing out the season of Happenings at the Harman, a free series open to the public with performances on Wednesdays. The next season will start in September 2011.
Yes, I am a struggling full-time artist, so naturally I couldn't resist attending a flamenco performance with free admission! Thank you Harman Hall for making that possible! Anywayz, I took about 200 pics and here's a random selection of about 20 pics from this past Wednesday. Enjoy!
